VOYAGERS! GUIDEBOOK

THE ULTIMATE PICTURE FANSITE!

"The secret of the young man's character, was a high and abstracted ambition.  He could have borne to live an undistinguished life, but not to be forgotten in the grave.  Yearning desire had been transformed to hope; and hope, long cherished, had become like certainty, that, obscurely as he journeyed now, a glory was to beam on all his pathway, though not, perhaps, while he was treading it.  But when posterity should gaze back into the gloom of what was now the present, they would trace the brightness of his footsteps, brightening as meaner glories faded, and confess that a gifted one had passed from his cradle to his tomb with none to recognize him."
Nathaniel Hawthorne, 'The Ambitious Guest'

A series of articles all about Jon-Erik from various Teen Magazines and others!
(A big thank you to Leanne for these wonderful scans!)

The scans are rather large in order to give fans the best quality, please give it a chance to load. Thank you.

*One thing I noticed about the Cover Up articles is that the plot for the series seems different for each report. I have read that the show premiered without the critics having seen the Pilot episode, so naturally any mags writing on it may have had misleading info at the time.*

The Merry-Go-Round Playhouse
In the Summer of 1981, Jon-Erik did Summer Stock Theater in Auburn, New York at the Merry Go Round Playhouse.  Here are a bunch of articles which mention his performances in 'Guys and Dolls' and 'The Unsinkable Molly Brown' the latter in which he played the principle role of 'Leadville' Johnny Brown.
(Big thanks to
Mickey Lord, Dennis Daugherty, and Doug Eames for the scans.)

In December 2007, People Magazine released this tribute book to those whom we have admired, but have sadly passed on.  Amazingly, Jon-Erik is featured on Page 87, with a beautiful picture and blurb.  Its very nice to see that though he died so young and so soon in his career, he is remembered.  I'd like to attribute this recognizance to all the loving, hard work that fans have put in throughout the years to keep his memory alive.  It has once again made the mainstream media take notice.  Yes, Jon is gone, but to all of us, not forgotten!
